Monday 26th January - walk **** – Around Trimley – cloudy and chilly.

It was a grey chilly day with light winds so I headed down to Felixstowe Ferry hoping to get some boat reflections in the River Deben but sadly there was too much breeze, I did get a few pics before moving onto The Fludyers as the dock cranes were shrouded in low cloud, I was lucky enough to get a photo on both the BBC and the ITV:) Home to warm up with some hot porridge and then I had just enough time to do my exercises before we had to drive over to Walton for a dentists check. That went well and then we continued onto the Trimly churches to see the mass of snowdrops, also there are loads of daffs in bud! Mag had already been on her early prom walk but we wanted to have another so decided to park at the end of Cordy’s Lane and walk a good section of the tree lined path towards the Orwell and were lucky enough to spot a herd of deer, we were pleased as we haven’t seen them for ages! We passed the small pond, sadly no sign of the large shoal of rudd and the path was very muddy in places! We then headed over towards the large green footbridge and followed the path near the railway line before returning to the van suitably knackered! Pate on toast and a hot water bottle soon did its magic, another named Storm Chandra but I will give windsurfing a miss as heavy rain is forecast, there has got to be some pleasure when sailing!
